Bright House Networks Bakersfield Division announced that seven new HD channels have been added to its digital channel lineup in Bakersfield and Tehachapi. These new additions include the following channels:
* CNN HD – Channel 1080 (Free with subscription to Digital Advantage Service)
* Fox News HD – Channel 1081(Free with subscription to Digital Advantage Service)
* Discovery Science HD – Channel 1410 (Free with subscription to Variety tier)
* Golf HD – Channel 1108 (Free with subscription to Digital Advantage Service)
* Versus HD – Channel 1110 (Free with subscription to Digital Advantage Service)
* Biography HD – Channel 1421(Free with subscription to Variety tier)
* Lifetime Movie HD – Channel 1648 (Free with subscription to Digital Advantage Service)

These new channels help us achieve that goal.” He continues, “We know our customers want more HD and with this month’s additions we have over 50 HD channels available, and we have no intention of stopping - there’s even more to come in the near future.”
In an effort to accommodate these and future HD channels, on June 30th ALL HD channels will move to channels 1,000 and above. Local broadcast HD channels will also be relocating. Below is a complete list of local broadcaster HD channel locations:

KBFX (Fox) 58 HD—Channel 1006 (Free with an HD receiver)
KBAK (CBS) 29 HD—Channel 1007 (Free with an HD receiver)
KERO (ABC) 23 HD—Channel 1008 (Free with an HD receiver)
KVPT (PBS) HD—Channel 1018 (Free with an HD receiver)
Beginning Tuesday, June 30th customers can tune to channels 1,000 and above to access their favorite HD channels.
The Variety Tier is one of our most popular Digital Tiers and is available to customers for an additional $4.00 a month. Premium channel packages start $13.95 a month.
