Bright House Networks Announces Launch of Faith-Based Channels To Its Digital Lineup

BAKERSFIELD, CA, October 15, 2008 – Bright House Networks digital customers will now have access to a new faith-based genre of channels with three newly added and three repositioned channels to its digital lineup.  Effective immediately, Bright House Networks has made the following changes and additions:

* TBN moves from digital channel 509 to digital channel 440
* EWTN moves from digital channel 512 to digital channel 441
* KNXT-TV NEW on digital channel 442
* The Word Network moves from digital channel 511 to digital channel 443
* Daystar Television Network NEW on digital channel 444
* BYU Television NEW on digital channel 445

To complement the new channels, KNXT-TV, Daystar Television Network and BYU Television, three existing channels, TBN, EWTN, and The Word Network will move on the line-up so they are more easily located and can be found near channels offering related programming.

“We are excited to be able to offer such high quality faith-based programming to our Bakersfield customers,” Joe Schoenstein, President Bright House Networks Bakersfield Division, said.  He continues, “The move of TBN, EWTN and The Word Network so that they reside near the three newly launched channels, creating a new “Faith” category of channels on our genre based line-up, is just one more way we are working to make life easier for our customers.”

These recently added faith-based channels are of special interest to a significant portion of the communities served by Bright House Networks.  Programming on these channels range from documentaries and shows from the Catholic Diocese of Fresno and the nation’s only full power, 24 hour a day Catholic broadcasting station (KNXT), an extensive blend of interdenominational and multi-cultural programming (Daystar Television Network), to content coming primarily from campuses of Brigham Young University and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (BYU-TV).

All six channels can be found on digital cable.  TBN remains on both the analog and digital levels of service.  For more information on these channels or services available from Bright House Networks, please contact our Customer Service Representatives at 661-323-4892 or visit www.mybrighthouse.com.
