Greg and Steve Concert

On March 14^th Children’s music duo Greg and Steve  brought their high-energy show to Bakersfield. Bright House networks paid for over 100 students from our community partner in education school College Heights Elementary to attend. The educational concert was fun for kids and parents alike, and we at Bright House Networks are glad to have been a part of it. Bright House Networks is glad to be a community partner in education with the Bakersfield City School District.

Take A Vet To Work Day

As part of The History Channel’s “Take A Vet to School Day”Bright House employees and military veterans Christine Castaneda, Ernesto Cerda,Leonard Foard, and Gordon Galindo visited North Kern Christian High School in Wasco to speak with students about their service experiences. The “Take a Vet to School Day’ program was created to bring history to life for classrooms grades K-12 and help link veterans of all ages with the young people in our schools and communities.

2007 Bright House Educators Conference

Over 100 local educators attended the 4th Annual Bright House Networks Educator's Conference on Tuesday, October 9th at the DoubleTree Hotel. Several of our cable network partners where on hand to talk with teacher about the resources available, from commercial-free educational programs to online tools.

2007 Star Teacher Local Incentive Award 

McKee Elementary School teacher Christina Branson was awarded a $750 prize for winning the local incentive portion of the Bright House Networks Star Teacher Award contest. Congratulations to Mrs. Branson and her students.

Joe Schoenstein , Division President of Bright House Network Bakersfield and Danielle Wade, VP of Sales and Marketing attended a press conference at the Partnership Food Bank on Wednesday, August 23rd to increase awareness of food insecurity in Kern County and to pledge support by Bright House Networks totaling $44,000.
